Setting operation switches in your headset control module

The switches in the control module of your headset let you customize certain settings. These are useful to tailor the headset for the situations or aircrafts in which you use it.

To set the operation switches:

Remove the batteries (if installed) from the control module to access the operation switches. Then, use a small utensil (i.e. a small flat screwdriver) to adjust the switches.

Switch Use
RESERVED This switch has no function. The default setting is A.
AUTO ON
This setting can automatically power on your headset when aircraft power is available. (Available for aircraft-powered models.)
  • Select ON (default setting) to allow aircraft-powered headsets to power on automatically
  • Select OFF to disable the headset from powering on until you press and hold the power button on the control module
AIRCRAFT AUDIO This setting sets the intercom sensitivity.
  • Select NORMAL (default setting) for normal use
  • Select LOW to adjust sensitivity by -12 dB
INTERCOM
This setting configures the headset for use with mono or stereo intercoms.
  • Select MONO (default setting) if your aircraft has a mono intercom so sound if heard in both ears
  • Select STEREO if your aircraft has a stereo intercom so different sound can be sent to both ears
AUTO OFF
This setting can power off your headset automatically after several minutes or inactivity.
  • Select ON (default setting) to have the headset automatically power off after three to nine minutes of inactivity
  • Select OFF to disable the headset from powering off until you press and hold the power button on the control module
TAP CONTROL This setting turns on or off the ability to double-tap an ear to lower noise cancellation in that ear.
  • Select ON to double-tap an earbud to toggle noise cancellation in that ear between Low and the setting of the control module ANC (Acoustic Noise Cancellation) switch
  • Select OFF to turn off the tap feature
