Installing an Android app without the Google Play store

These instructions will walk you through installing or "Side Loading" the android app.

Download the Bose SB1 - First Generation App.

  1. On your Android device, download the Bose SB1 - First Generation App APK file here: https://downloads.bose.com/health/sleep-app/bose-sb1.apk
  2. Once downloaded, open the file
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to enable installation from unknown sources and install the app.

Disable your Android device from installing apps from unknown sources.

Select your Android version below for help finding and disabling this option. These steps can vary by device brand and Android version. So, if the steps don't match your device, look for similar options in the device Settings menu.
