Remote does not work

Install new batteries in the remote. Make sure the batteries, including those recently installed, match the polarity markings inside the battery compartment. Do not use rechargeable batteries. Rechargeable batteries may not charge fully after extended use and some may have a lower voltage output

Perform a control console reset

Reassociate the remote with the system. The media centre and remote must match for proper operation. For information on reassociating the system and the remote, see  Pairing the remote control with the console
