Pairing the headphones with your device

Follow these steps to pair the headphones with your device. You can also download the Bose Connect app for easy setup and additional features:

On the right earcup, slide the Power button all the way up to the Bluetooth® symbol and hold until you hear “Ready to pair”. The Bluetooth indicator will also blink blue. The headphones are now discoverable.

On your mobile device under Bluetooth settings, make sure that Bluetooth is turned on and look for the headphones under “Devices”. Depending on your operating system, you may need to select “Pair new device” or similar.

Select “Bose AE2 SoundLink” from the device list. You will hear “Connected to ” and the Bluetooth indicator will glow solid white. If prompted for a passkey, enter 0000 and press OK.

The headphones can store eight devices in the memory. When powered on, the headphones will automatically connect to the first two devices in the memory—for example, a tablet for audio and a phone for calls.

Connecting to a computer

If connecting to a Windows computer, you may see two different icons in the device pairing list (a device icon and a headphone icon). Make sure you select the headphone icon.
